Classifying the competition into the correct category depends on the age of the dancer(s), dance level, and discipline (style) of the choreography.
Each dancer is assigned to a category based on their age on the first day of the competition (27 February 2026):
SOLO
Each dancer may perform a maximum of one choreography per category (age, style & level), lasting max. 2 minutes:
Elementary 1: 7–8 years old (not yet 9 on 27 Feb 2026)
Elementary 2: 9–10 years old (not yet 11 on 27 Feb 2026)
Prelude 1: 11–12 years old (not yet 13 on 27 Feb 2026)
Prelude 2: 13–14 years old (not yet 15 on 27 Feb 2026)
Etude 1: 15–16 years old (not yet 17 on 27 Feb 2026)
Etude 2: 17–18 years old (not yet 19 on 27 Feb 2026)
Superior: 19 years and older (on the first day of the competition - on 27 Feb 2026)

DUO/TRIO
Maximum one choreography per category (age, style & level). 2 to 3 dancers, maximum 2 minutes 30 seconds. The average age of all dancers in duo/trio determines the age category:
Elementary: 7–10 years (average age not 11 or above on 27 Feb 2026)
Prelude: 11–14 years (average age not 15 or above on 27 Feb 2026)
Etude: 15–18 years (average age not 19 or above on 27 Feb 2026)
Superior: 19 years and older (average age is 19 or above on 27 Feb 2026)

GROUP
Each dancer may participate in a maximum of one choreography per category (age, style & level), max. 4 minutes. Each group consists of at least 4 participants per choreography. The average age determines the age category:
Elementary: 7–10 years (average age not 11 or above on 27 Feb 2026)
Prelude: 11–14 years (average age not 15 or above on 27 Feb 2026)
Etude: 15–18 years (average age not 19 or above on 27 Feb 2026)
Superior: 19 years and older (average age is 19 or above on 27 Feb 2026)

IMPROVISATION
This category is open to all participants within the levels Amateur, Advanced, and Pre-Pro.
Dancers registering for this category will take turns performing their improvisation on stage alongside others from the same age group, regardless of level. Music is chosen by the organisation and will be revealed to the dancers at the start of the category.
Each dancer registers individually for this category and dances in the styles covered by the competition. To ensure variety, a maximum of 4 entries per age group per dance school is allowed.
Elementary: 7–10 years (average age not 11 or above on 27 Feb 2026)
Prelude: 11–14 years (average age not 15 or above on 27 Feb 2026)
Etude: 15–18 years (average age not 19 or above on 27 Feb 2026)
Superior: 19 years and older (average age is 19 or above on 27 Feb 2026)
