Welcome to the dance competition “International Dance Concours Bruges” – where talent, creativity and connection within the dance community take center stage.
With this event, we aim to provide an inspiring and supportive environment in which dancers are given the space to grow both technically and artistically. Regardless of experience or level, we strive to offer every participant a fair opportunity to showcase their talent.
We believe in the power of constructive feedback and meaningful evaluations as a way to motivate dancers to push their boundaries and deepen their personal expression.
Beyond the competitive aspect, we focus on creating opportunities for networking among dancers and dance schools from Belgium and across Europe. We also actively support young talents and emerging dance companies, encouraging connection and mutual inspiration.
What makes this competition unique is its scoring system: every dancer is not compared against others but evaluated individually by an international jury
It's not just about winning, but it's all about the journey

discovering yourself
     strengthening your artistic voice,
          and experiencing

the power of dance
                    as a shared passion !
The first edition of this competition will take place on Friday 27 February 2026, Saturday 28 February 2026, and Sunday 1 March 2026 at the Royal City Theatre of Bruges (Koninklijke Stadsschouwburg Brugge), Vlamingstraat 29.
Based in the heart of this beautiful city  you will find one of the most beautiful and best-preserved theaters in Europe
The Bruges Royal City Theatre (1869) has a sober yet majestic neo-Renaissance facade and conceals a palatial foyer and an equally magnificent red and gold auditorium. Build in the 19th century as a cherished dream of the then bourgeoisie: to have a temple of culture that could compete with the large theatre houses of cities in Europe.
The Great Theatre of Bruges has since then been converted from an elitist theatre with class segregation to an open cultural house with outstanding infrastructure for theatre, modern dance and music.
This International Dance Concours Bruges takes place in the heart of Bruges, a place that lives and breathes history. Visiting this historic city means travelling back in time to the Middle Ages. It is both magical and authentic, and definitely an ideal destination for a romantic and artistic weekend
Bruges is one of Europe’s best-preserved cities. This is evidenced by its historic city centre, the entirety of which has been designated a UNESCO world heritage site. The iconic spires of its cathedral and bell tower, its cobbled streets, winding canals and whitewashed facades are almost painfully picturesque. In the near surroundings of the Royal Theatre you will find numerous hotels, shops and the best places to eat, so everything you need for an excellent stay!
